THE BOOK — DESIGNED BY STEVE HIETT

The idea for the book evolved very early on as the perfect accompaniment to the film. Steve Hiett, who serves as the Art Director on the film, is one of the most gifted graphic designers and photographers in the world. His work for the legendary photographer Arthur Elgort is best remembered by the revolutionary work he did on the book Models Manual. We loved his graphic impact so much that we thought it necessary to create a book concurrently. They are different mediums, but they complement each other perfectly. Vidal's breakthrough occurred in the sixties, which is arguably the most beloved and revered decades of the last century. This is something that we are able to capture particularly well in book form. The book is a lasting visual record of an extraordinary time and an extraordinary life.

Limited editions of the book will be available in 2011.
